Once I complete my coursework, what is my next step?

Once you complete your coursework, it is time to take your exam.
Thomson/Prometric, an independent vendor, administers Dell EMC Proven Professional exams. Once you have selected the exam you plan to take, go to the Exam Guidelines for details and to obtain a Thomson/Prometric exam voucher.
 

Do I have to participate in training courses to take an exam?

No, It is not compulsory, training courses are recommended but are not a prerequisite to any of the exams. 

Where can I find a list of the Dell EMC education courses associated with the program?

Each Dell EMC certification exam has its own set of preparation strategies. We refer to them as “Exam Structure & Syllabus”. Go to “certification details” and you can find them on the Web pages associated with individual exams. The pages also show the number of questions in the exam, the duration of the exam, the areas you will be tested on, the required passing score, and recommended course work and content you can reference. You can also find a selection of sample questions that can help you to better understand the type of questions to expect in the exam.

What are the levels of competency recognition?

The Dell EMC Professional Program has a three-tier recognition structure that builds in content and complexity as you advance.
 
Associate: Foundation-level recognition on Dell EMC technology.
 
Specialist: Advanced-level recognition in specific technology or solution.
 
Expert: Highest-level of achievement in specific technology or solution.
